YAB DATO’ SERI ABDULLAH BIN HJ. AHMAD BADAWI, PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FINANCE has announced the BUDGET PROPOSAL FOR 2009 on 29 AUGUST 2008 with the theme "A CARING GOVERNMENT" and in line with the five thrusts of the National Mission, the 2009 Budget will focus on three specific strategies, namely:

First: Ensuring the Well Being of Malaysians;
Second: Developing Quality Human Capital; and
Third: Strengthening the Nation’s Resilience.
